Not only did our customer to take the time to post up comparison pictures between XenonDepot's two kelvin temperatures, he also took the time to post up some comparison pictures between XenonDepot's 5000k HID bulbs and several other vendors' 5000k HID bulbs. We've always explained the difference between the two as being minimal, but 4300k ultimately looking more "natural" with a "warmer" tone to them. Under normal conditions, a halogen light bulb has a lifespan of approximately 1,000 hours. First, their primary advantage is that they have a very long lifespan. On the other hand, HID lights use a gas-filled bulb and produce a brighter, more intense light. Pros: Halogen bulbs are generally more affordable than other types. They are relatively inexpensive and easy to install, but they have a shorter lifespan and produce more heat than HID lights. Most people looking to get an HID kit in this kelvin range are usually looking for bright white output, with very little blue to the light. Halogen lights are incandescent bulbs that use a tungsten filament to produce light. This shot illustrates the difference in color better. It did not disperse light as evenly as a retrofit would. On the other hand, halogen headlights are cheaper, easier to install, provide instant illumination, and offer adjustable. HID headlights offer higher brightness, longer life, energy efficiency, and a stylish look but are more expensive and glare-inducing. The light was much brighter, the cutoff was the same as the halogen bulbs. Choosing between HID vs halogen headlights depends on your specific needs and priorities. I used an H11 35 watt 4500K kit from DDM tuning. This glows, producing light and a lot of heat. Traditional halogen lamps use a filament which heats up as the electricity passes through. All have benefits and disadvantages in certain circumstances and it’s important to understand these when considering an upgrade or changing lights. Of course, it looks cooler (as far as temperature goes) by comparison. In my 2009 Impreza, with halogen projectors, I ran an HID kit. Filament (halogen), discharge (metal halide and HID) and LED.
